I haven't been this anxious for a chapter since Emma finally got to meet [gibberish].

I really feel like something's about to be messed up between the secrets that the main 3 are keeping from one another--not so much Ray exactly, but he's being kept out of the loop between Emma and Norman.

Ray got to pull his big stunt right when they escaped Grace Field, but for Emma who ultimately wants to be with her family but has been evasive about the terms of the New Promise, and Norman who is executing his plan before his implied death due to the Lambda Experiments I feel like when all this comes to light it may mess up some very specific conditions with [gibberish].

Although, speaking of [gibberish], their introduction seemed pretty focused on being both whimsical and powerful, but I was really captivated by their walking towards Emma and seemingly walking backwards in time from an adult to a child-like state. If time and space are pretty much irrelevant to [gibberish] it makes me wonder if they already see all possible outcomes and just kind of want to torment the promise-makers in a way that just keeps everything "in balance."

Just so I'm keeping track of things, the first Promise was that demons and humans segregate their worlds and won't hunt each other, the second promise was that demons can only eat farmed humans but the best meat goes to [gibberish] and the Ratri clan that betrayed the humans would be the ones to oversee this process. If Mujika (or Geelan?) made another promise to keep their intelligence without having to eat human meat, it could be that the price to pay was that she would have to give her own blood and spread the practice herself... though I'm not entirely sure that goes to the depths of how [gibberish] sets the drawback for the promise, there could be more. I feel like her clan being in exile was more the result of demon society wanting to keep its classist power in check rather than something directly to do with [gibberish].

With Emma wanting the children to go to the human world and for travel to between the demon and human world impossible, I don't think it's too far to say [gibberish] would agree to that on the condition that Emma stays within the Seven Walls or such so that she couldn't be with her family. Norman also seems to be pulling the whole genocide route because he'll already be breaking a promise to be with Emma and Ray if he thinks he's about to succumb to the Lambda Experiments. He thinks he's doing the safest, logical choice while he's still able to which is pretty sad.

And then Ray just gets left in the dust I guess?? So far no one has even mentioned what would happen if a promise were to be broken either--there's an implied punishment right? Or was having Goldie Pond as a place where farmed children were hunted not count against the promise of demons not hunting humans?

If Norman is actually a descendent of the Ratri clan too I guess he could never really leave so there's just a lot things I hope will be addressed soon. It feels like things are really close to the end, which is also an appropriate time for the title drop. With the emphasis on the Grace Field arc, it seemed really appropriate that "the promised neverland" was a metaphor for these kids to grow up in a happy childhood only to be killed and harvested before they reach adulthood. Now that we know that a Promise (capital P) is so important, it really does make me wonder about the human world that the kids have so desperately hoped for. Neverland is a place, but not a place, it lives in the imagination of children, and it's boundless. We have the assumption that the human world exists, but there was the whole thing in the beginning about inventions and books seemed to stop around 2015 or so? That could have just been to help craft a timeless or classic environment for the kids of Grace Field to be raised in, but it could also be a pretty dark glimpse into the fate of the human world since not even the Mom's of the farms have seen the outside world.
