Labyrinth of Refrain: 06

The last time I was posted about my LoR progress we had just gotten to the Baba Yaga part of the story.

Since then I've been doing much more aimless exploring? At first I was determined to see how much deeper I could get into Campanula, and it turns out it's Pretty Far. I think I technically reached the bottom (floor 8?) of Campanula since the Tractus pages go from Page 8 Campanula to Page 9 Astrom Kingdom, so I don't expect there to be more.

Problem was, I ran into some rather strong regular wandering enemies, and after barely surviving that fight decided to leave a Mud Exit there to return to when I get stronger.

Since Umbra's minimum enemy level was 44 I was expecting it to be much tougher than it actually was. The layout of the towers seemed really odd to me, just rooms and rooms full of treasure boxes? Otherwise it felt very empty except for the rare enemy or two.

I've certainly seen some of the more questionable enemies by now--I wonder how the Ridi fight would have went. I also gave Icura his items but ended up resetting after seeing what exactly his "caress" involved. Funny enough, I was only holding about 10,000 silver at that time, so I guess he's fine with wiping you out the first time, though I wonder if he just takes whatever amount you have on you less than 100,000 silver. Still, I needed the money to buy the Unassuming Incense so I reset and we'll see if I ever go back to him later. Increasing CHM seems like one of those things I should care about if I was min-maxing, and I just plan on stumbling into whatever for this first playthrough unless I get Really stuck later.

I was excited to get an extended set of cut scenes for the Witch Report because it has taken me ages to get to the next story prompt, and I was surprised we get to see a young Velnya. So many people end up being creepy to her, I was kind of glad she was able to fight back, even though it seems like it hasn't got her too many favors.

Talking about Funa in the past makes me wonder exactly how old Funa is though, since she honestly looks like a pre-teen still. Or maybe even Dronya isn't what she seems after all? Isara creeps me out a bit, but at this point I can't tell if Dronya is still feeling vengeful or maybe she ended up liking her after all. Keeping an eye on her and possible that one other background student since Dronya made a point to give Luca a birthday present from her mother, whom she has no memory of.

Definitely more questions than answers so far, I feel like we're finally getting to the meat of the story, so I hope I don't have to grind too hard to get through the next story check point
